Museo del paesaggio COMO Lake, Artur Schnabel and family.
On the occasion of the exhibition dedicated to Artur Schnabel and his family, the artist Alessandro Lupi has created a “site specific” installation in the park of the Museo del Paesaggio del Lago di Como; a visual synthesis of the language of sound in transformation, in relation to the space of the garden. The work will be transformed according to the time of day. During the day it will develop chromatic contrasts between nature and materials, between light and shade according to the position of the sun; at night, a system of dynamic light will generate a contemplative and evocative experience. In the last century the Tremezzina was chosen by the Schnabel family as a place of artistic inspiration. This family of pianists has nurtured the cultural and musical life of the area, Arthur Schnabel in particular has the distinction of being the first pianist in history to record the complete Beethoven Sonatas from 1932 to 1935. The work is inspired by the concept of instrument and language as it evolves over time.
