The world, the place where we live, is fragile; it is a thin crust on a planet, full of life and biodiversity.
Within this ecosystem, living beings of different sizes coexist. Each of these organisms is interconnected with all the others.
The art installation takes the analogies between the micro and the macro as its starting point and uses the map as a recognisable element. It is inspired by the term ‘Overview’. This term describes the common experience of astronauts and cosmonauts: where national borders disappear, conflicts that divide people and the need to create a planetary society with the united will to protect this ‘pale blue dot’ in Space .
From the sea, therefore, a small ecosystem is created on every surface, displayed in an aquarium is constantly growing, never the same and constantly changing, in which the public can immerse themselves with their imagination.
Il mondo, il luogo dove viviamo, è fragile; è una sottile crosticina su un pianeta, piena di vita e di biodiversità.
All’interno di questo ecosistema convivono esseri viventi di diverse dimensioni. Ognuno di questi organismi è interconnesso con tutti gli altri.
L’ installazione artistica prende come spunto le analogie tra il micro ed il macro ed usa la mappa come un elemento riconoscibile. E’ ispirata al termine “ Overview “ che significa “visione di insieme”. Questo termine descrive la comune esperienza degli astronauti e cosmonauti: in cui svaniscono i confini nazionali, i conflitti che dividono le persone e diventa evidente e imperativa la necessità di creare una società planetaria con la volontà unitaria di proteggere questo “pallido punto azzurro” nello Spazio .
Dal mare quindi si crea su ogni superficie un piccolo ecosistema, esposto in un acquario è in costante crescita, mai uguale ed in mutazione continua, nel quale il pubblico puo immergersi con l’immaginazione.
